The author of this blog is Micah Robinson.

           Micah's Background:
Micah was born and raised in DeLand, FL starting at 2nd base for DeLand High School during their back to back Final Four Appearances in 2006 & 2007. After high school, Micah continued his playing career at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, AL. While there he earned a starting role on the infield, helping the Tigers to a Conference Championship and NCAA regional appearance. After his freshman year Micah transferred to Pasco-Hernando Community College in Florida, playing his sophomore season in the extremely competitive Suncoast Conference. Again Micah's team made a run at the conference title, but this time came up short. Micah then received a scholarship to play baseball at Limestone College, spending his last 2 years of eligibility playing 2nd base for the Saints. During his junior campaign Micah led his team in many offensive categories, but his senior season is where the team had the most success. In 2011, with Micah named as captain of the team, Limestone set a school record for wins in a season and reaching as high as 17th in the national rankings. Robinson also had a great year defensively being named to the Rawlings Southeast Region Gold Glove team as a 2nd baseman.

After his playing career Micah began coaching at his alma mater, DeLand High. Joining a staff of quality coaches Micah was named head coach of the JV team and infield/3rd base coach for the varsity squad. During his stint at DeLand, the JV team won the fall tournament and during the spring JV finished the season at 13-2, while the varsity came in at 22-5. Micah spent the next two years at Windermere Prep and Timber Creek High School, while at those schools he worked with 2 young groups steadily improving the infield play. During that time Micah was also participating in West Virginia University's Masters program, earning his Masters degree in Sport Management in Dec. of 2013.  Micah is the owner of Robinson Athletics, a business that offers camps, showcases, and special events to the people of Central Florida. Micah lives with his wife Stefanie Robinson in Ocoee, FL.
